What are your fees?

Sessions are 50 minutes and will cost $165, payable by cash, check, or card. Each client will be asked to securely add a credit card to their Simple Practice account, the online practice management system used. With consent, this card can be charged for each session.

There is a $80 cancellation fee for sessions cancelled after 6:30 pm on the day before an appointment or on the day of the scheduled appointment. A $165 cancellation fee will also be charged to clients who do not show up on the day of the appointment. The cancellation fee will automatically be charged to the card on file.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in network for several insurance agencies. BCBS Louisiana HMO/PPO, Cigna, Aetna, Tricare, UBH.
Please call to verify or check with your provider directory.
If you have out-of-network benefits,  I can provide you with an invoice statement to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Clients often get reimbursed for fees this way, but it depends on your coverage.

Can I use insurance for Marriage or Couples Counseling?

Couples and marital therapy focuses on the relationship itself. Because relationships are not considered a diagnosable mental health condition, insurance companies typically do not cover this type of therapy. Insurance coverage is based on medical necessity and requires a recognized mental health diagnosis. For this reason, couples and marital therapy is offered as a self-pay service.

Do you offer sessions in-person or online?

I provide in-person sessions at my office in New Orleans. 
I also offer HIPAA-compliant telehealth for residents of Louisiana

How long do I need to be in therapy?

Accepted Answer

Many factors go into this decision, and ultimately it's entirely your choice. Some clients appreciate ongoing support from a therapist, while others prefer to focus on a specific issue and then move on. I check in with clients at regular intervals to ensure they continue to feel a sense of meaningful support and progress in their work.
